Routhierville
Routhierville is a territory not organized in the regional Municipalité of county of Matapédia with the Quebec (Canada), located in the administrative area of the Low-Saint-Laurent.
This village was called at the Assametquagan beginning. What means in intrigue " who appears in a détour". At the time of colonization, the life of people was organized around the station, built in 1878, and of fishing to salmon. It is besides in the honor of a station master, Alphonse Routhier, that this locality is named. In 1931, one finishes the construction of the bridge of Routhierville measuring 78,6 meters, one of oldest of the area.
