Route secondary road 190 (Yvelines)
The secondary road 190 or D190 , is one of the important East-West axes of the department of the Yvelines as well in the local road traffic organization as in the regional traffic organization.
Traffic
It constitutes, on Right Bank of the the Seine, an axis parallel with that of the secondary road 113 on left bank. It is a two-track road (except a short section with four ways with the crossing of Carrières-sous-Poissy) which crosses a residential area uninterrupted almost from beginning to end (if one excludes the crossing of the Forêt of Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer and that of the agricultural plain located between Carrières-sous-Poissy and Triel). Of this fact speed is generally limited there to 50 km/h.It is a road encumbered by the local traffic and especially by the through traffic, in particular theheavy ones. It indeed receives with Meulan the flow of traffic exchanged between the urban poles of Mantes and Cergy-Pontoise. According to the DATAR the traffic could shortly reach 30 to 40.000 vehicles/day. It is expected that it is lightened in the future, but at a still unspecified horizon, by the Projet of highway by-pass C3/F13 which is intended to facilitate the exchanges between these two poles and more generally between the has 13 and the has 15.
A Automatic radar is installed with the crossing of Juziers in a zone very accidentogene.
History
The part of the road crossing the forest between Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer and Poissy was created by Blanche of Castille (the mother of Louis IX) between 1230 and 1238.The initial section of the road, which bears the name of “avenue of Marshal-of-Lattre-of-Tassigny”, in strong rise between the level of the Seine to the bridge of Pecq and that of the terrace of Saint-Germain, was open in 1835, at the time of the rebuilding of the stone bridge. It then bore the name of “road of the Caves”.
This road with the relatively flat profile constituted at the time of horse-drawn traction the normal route between Paris and the Normandy, in competition with the Trunk road 14 which connects Paris to Pontoise and with Rouen directly by the plate of the Vexin. It emerged then with the Vieux bridge of Limay until this one is supplanted by the new bridge built by Perronnet.
It constituted, before its downgrading on the way departmental, the Trunk road 190. It bore however the name of Trunk road 1 3 until in 1951, date on which one carried out an exchange of numbers between the two trunk roads, current the national 13, whose traced it the majority of the villages located between Saint-Germain and Mantes avoid, taking importance with the development of the motor vehicle traffic.
