Route main road 66

The trunk road 66 , or RN 66 , is a Trunk road French connecting Remiremont to Basle in Switzerland. But, before the downgradings of the years 1970, it also had a section of Bar-le-Duc to Épinal; moreover, certain charts of the 19th century attest that the section of current the Trunk road 57 of Épinal with Remiremont belonged a time to the trunk road 66.

To January 1st, 2006, the section between the A36 and the RD 68 (Morschwiller-le-Bas) were transferred to the department from Haut-Rhin and are known under the name of RD 68. The section of Mulhouse to Basle was gradually displaced in D66.

Current the Trunk road 135 is in fact a section of the old RN 66 in the beginning. It passed by the communes of:

The road was displaced in the years 1970 in D966 in the Meuse, and D166 in the the Vosges. It crossed the communes of:

D' Épinal with Remiremont

As of the end of the 19th century (1887), the RN 66 and the Trunk road 57 make section common of Épinal to Remiremont, while passing by:

But certain charts of the 19th century attest that this section was a time suitable for the RN 66. The RN 57 passed then by Xertigny (current D434) to join Plombières-the-Baths (current D3 and D63).
