Route main road 52

The trunk road 52 , or RN 52 , is a Trunk road French. At the origin (since 1824), it connected Uckange to Longwy. But in the years 1970, one associated a section of to him Metz to Florange and one downgraded in RD 952 the section of Uckange to Florange.

Prolongation of the highway A30 starting from the Meurthe-et-Moselle (which connects the A31 to Aumetz), the RN 52 is a fast track with roadway separate of a score of kilometers. It is true that the state of the RN 52 leaves something to be desired. The doubling of the Viaduc of Chiers in Longwy is envisaged with the plan contract State-Area.

The RN 52, after interruption, takes again with height Fameck (57) where has been created for a few years now, a portion with 4 ways of which the goal is to lighten A31 overloaded, parallel with the RN 52 (called here VR 52). The VR 52 fact part of the solutions under consideration by the area and certain elected officials to lighten A31 without having to double this one.

The traffic is relatively constant: in 2004, one counted more than 18.000 vehicle/days, that is to say 2.000 of more than on A30, whereas the RN 52 does not enjoy a highway statute.
