Route main road 336

The trunk road 336 , or RN 336 , is a Trunk road French connecting RN 1, in the commune of Dunkirk to RN 335. This layout, in the crossing of Coudekerque-Connects, corresponds to that of old RN 16b. The decree of the December 5th 2005 envisages its transfer to the department of the Northern .

Previously, RN 336 connected Gamaches to Saint-Quentin. Between Picquigny and Longueau, RN 336 was in joint base with RN 35. In 1952, RN 336 was renumbered RN 44 between Estrées-in-Roadway and Saint-Quentin. Following the downgradings of 1972, it was famous RD 936 between Gamaches and Picquigny and RN 29 between Longueau and Saint-Quentin.
Entre Longueau and Vermand, RN 336 bore the name of Chaussée Brunehaut . This and the presence of two villages named Estrées on the course comes from what RN 336 had taken again the rectilinear layout of a Roman way connecting Amiens and Vermand.
