In the past RN104 (with a section corresponding to old the NR 86g), the trunk road 304 , or RN304 , is a trunk road French connecting Aubenas with Privas like to the Pouzin and Loriol-sur-Drôme. Classification RN 104 between Aubenas and Pouzin, in conflict with that of the Francilienne during years, disappeared besides only tardily.

The total distance from this road is of 46 km and connects the Mounts of Ardeche to the Vallée of the Rhone, its culminating points are with the Collar of Escrinet to 787 meters and with the Collar of Arénier to 682 meters both offering splendid points of sights.

Formerly, RN 4 started from Châlons-in-Champagne to join Vitry-le-François then to follow its current layout towards the east. The section Esternay - Vitry-le-François belonged to RN 34 whereas the section Paris Esternay was numbered RN 304. The RN 304 old version disappeared when the RN 4 had its origin deferred to Paris.

Circulation

Because of complete absence of deviation to Privas the N304 frequently knows congestions at the office hours.
