Route main road 137

The trunk road 137 , or RN 137 , is a trunk road French connecting Saint-Malo to Bordeaux. The decree of December 5th, 2005 envisages the maintenance of this route in the national domaniality only for the section Nantes - Rennes and the service road of La Rochelle and Aytré.

From Saint-Malo to Nantes

The road is in 2x2 ways. The portion between Rennes and Nantes belongs to the Autoroute of the Estuaries, it should be put at the highway statute for the prolongation of the has 84

The downgrading between Rennes and St Malo on the way departmental was carried out at the end of 2006.

From Nantes with the La Rochelle

The road is duplicated by the highway A83 between Nantes and Holy-Hermine. This section from now on is transferred to the departments.

The road is with 2x2 ways between La Rochelle and Rochefort.
It is duplicated by the A837 between Rochefort and Saintes, then by the A10 between Saintes and Bordeaux. This portion is also transferred to the departments since 2007.
