Route main road 11
Currently, the trunk road 11 , or RN 11 , is a trunk road French connecting Fountain-the-Count (beside Poitiers) to La Rochelle. But it should be noted that, until the Downgradings of 1972, it connected Poitiers to Rochefort. The section of Mauzé-sur-le-Mignon to La Rochelle belonged then to the Trunk road 22, while the trunk road 11 served Surgères and Rochefort via a section now displaced in D 911 .
Le decree of December 5th 2005 envisages to transfer to the departments the section from Fountain-the-Count to Épannes. This section is from now on famous D 611 .
In the long term, the section remaining between Épannes and La Rochelle will become the highway has 810 (installations in progress)
