The Route Transfăgăraş is a road of Romania crossing the Carpates between Curtea de Argeş and close to Făgăraş (approximately 100km length). It is one of the highest roads and the highest bituminized road of Romania (a little less than 2000 m of altitude). It crosses the Făgăraş mounts, from where its name.

It was built for the period when Nicolae Ceausescu was with the capacity.

It is blocked by snow generally enters mid-October and mid-June.
