Round of applause Chao (Chinese: 班超; EFEO: Pan Ch' ao) (born with Xianyang (Shaanxi) 32 - 102) was a Général Chinese in charge of the administration of the “areas of the west” (Central Asia) during the Dynastie Han of the East. It pushed back the Xiongnu and ensured the Chinese control of the area of the Bassin of Tarim. It carried out forwardings until in Parthie and until the Caspian Sea. It fought during 31 years.
