Rossese di Dolceacqua
The Rossese di Dolceacqua is a dry Italian wine of the area of Ligurie equipped with a name DOC. since January 28th, 1972. Only to DOC. the red wines collected inside the surface of production defined by the decree are entitled. The authorized vineyards are located in Province of Imperia in the communes of Apricale, Bajardo, Camporosso, Castelvittorio, Dolceacqua, Isolabona, Perinaldo, Pigna, Rocchetta Nervina, San Biagio della Cima, Soldano as well as the communes Vallecrosia, Ventimiglia and Vallebona. The vineyards are staged of since the bottom of the valley of Nervia to 400 meters until 600 meters.
Already the pope Paul III admired the quality of this wine.
The red wine of the Rossese di Dolceacqua answers a schedule of conditions less demanding than the Rossese di Dolceacqua superiore, primarily in relation to the alcohol content.
