Rosenstolz

Rosenstolz is a German group of music originating in formed Berlin of the singer in ex-Berlin-Is, Anna R., and of the type-setter and singer of ex-Germany of the West (FRG), Peter Plate. History of the group

At its beginnings, Rosenstolz played in front of a very small public, often coming from the Szene . They gave their first concert in October 1991 in the Galerie Bellevue to Berlin with hardly 30 visitors. Openly homosexual, Peter Plate was born on July 1st, 1967 with New Delhi. Before moving in with Berlin in 1990, he lived many years with Goslar and Braunschweig. Before the creation of Rosenstolz, Peter Plate sought to launch out as a singer solo. He thus left two albums in 1989, only distributed in cassettes with a limited pulling. In 1991, it occurred in solo on the television channel of Berlin FAB, in the gay magazine of the time " Andersrum ". It sang there a song having for title " Mutter, Of the hast mich verlassen " (Mom, you dropped me). Thanks to the promotion of certain radio stations like Fritz, the popularity of the group grows at sight of eye. For proof, record sales or rounds posting complete, a concert in front of approximately 10.000 spectators with Novosibirsk in May 1997 (on invitation of the Goethe-Institute) as well as the selection in 1998 with the national final of the Eurovision, where they reached the 2nd place.

The song " Liebe STI alles" is adapted in 2005 for the singer Grégory Lemarchal. The song becomes " I become moi".

In 2005 also, Peter Plate composed a song for Patricia Kaas (Herz eines Kämpfers of a combatant).

Anna and Peter left new CD in 2006, das große Leben .

Rosenstolz contributed to the film Sommersturm (2004), devoted to the question of the Coming-out by composing the song " Willkommen" album Herz .
