Rosamunde
Rosamunde , D 797, is an incidental music in a opening and ten parts (of including four sung) composed by Franz Schubert in 1823 for the part Rosamunde, princess of Cyprus of Helmina von Chézy. The part fell into the lapse of memory but the music, in particular that of the opening and the third interval, remains one of most popular of the type-setter and is regularly present at the repertory of the full orchestras.

Music of Rosamunde at Schubert
- Some think that the interval n° 1 could be the finale missing of the unfinished Symphonie (Mackerras recorded the symphony in 1990 with this hypothetical finale).
- the topic of the third interval of Rosamunde was re-used by Schubert in the String quartet n° 13 and in the Impromptu D 935, where it is used as topic with six Variation S for piano
Rosamunde in the popular culture
- the opening was used by Samuel Goldwyn in his film Hans Christian Andersen (1952) for a scene of Ballet carried out by Zizi Jeanmaire.
- Certains passages is found in the Christmas carol Thousand cherubim in coro interpreted by Luciano Pavarotti during its concert of Christmas in 1980.
