Rosa omeiensis

Rosa omeiensis is a species of Rosier of the section of the '' Pimpinellifoliæ '', originating in the center and south-west in the China in the provinces in Gansu, Guizhou, Hubei, Ningxia, Qinghai, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Xizang and Yunnan. One finds it there in the mountainous areas at altitudes ranging between 700 and 4400 meters.

There are four forms:

  • Rosa omeiensis F. omeiensis .
  • Rosa omeiensis F. glandulosa T.T.Yü & T.C.Ku
  • Rosa omeiensis F. paucijuga T.T.Yü & T.C.Ku
  • Rosa omeiensis F. pteracantha Rehder & E.H.Wilson

This taxon is sometimes treated like a Sous-espèce of the close species Rosa sericea .

Synonymous: Rosa sericea Lindl. subsp. omeiensis (Rolfe) A.V. Roberts.

Description

It is a Arbrisseau which can reach up to four meters in height, often very spine ux. The null and void Feuille S have 3 to 6 cm length and are made up from 5 to 13 Foliole S at the finely toothed edge.

The Flowers, white, simple, have 2,5 to 3,5 cm in diameter. Exceptional character at the rose trees, these flowers have, except rare exception, only four petals.

The fruits, yellow orange with red with maturity, by 8 to 15 mm in diameter, are surmounted persistent sepals and are often thorny.

Culture and use

The form Rosa omeiensis F. pteracantha is cultivated like decorative Plante for its young people large brilliant red pivots translucent.
