Rosa moyesii
Rosa moyesii is a species of Rosier classified in the section of the '' Cinnamomeae '', originating in Western China (Shaanxi, Sichuan, Yunnan) discovered in 1890, imported in 1894.

The specific adjective, moyesii , recall that this species was dedicated by E.H. Wilson to a British missionary, the father J. Moyes.
Description
It is a Arbuste which can reach two meters in height, with the simple flowers red, solitary or in small groups of two or three, flowering in summer (not tonic). The fruits are Cynorrhodon S of color orange to maturity, with the particular shape “out of bottle”, long from 5 to 6 cm. The majority are sterile.
Culture and use
This species is sometimes cultivated like decorative Plante. It was also used for the production of improved varieties of rose trees.It presents several alternatives:
- Rosa moyesii “Fargesii” a tétraploïque form whereas the type is hexaploïque,
- Rosa moyesii “inernis”,
- Rosa moyesii “Superba” with port read compact,
- Rosa holodonta Stapf, Rosa moyesii F. rosea (Rehd.&E.H.Wils.), tétraploïque, is characterized by the pink color from its flowers.
