Rosa minutifolia
Rosa minutifolia is a species of Rosier, classified in the sub-genus Hesperhodos , originating in a very localized surface in North America, in the area of Basse California (Mexico).
It is a rare species in its surface of origin and in danger of extinction in California.
Synonymous: Hesperhodos minutifolia Engelm.
Description
This rose tree is a low shrub of less than 75 cm in height.It is characterized by its sheets, smallest of all the kind Rosa , from where its specific name of minutifolia . The leaflets have only 3 to 7 mm length.
The flowers, simple, of pink color more or less dark, have less than 2,5 cm in diameter. They very give very thorny fruits 5 mms in diameter.
