Rosa kokanica is a species of Rosier, classified in the section of Pimpinellifoliae, originating in the mountains of Eastern Asia, between 1500 and 2500 meters of altitude of the Iran to the Mongolia while passing by the Afghanistan, the Kazakhstan and the China (Xinjiang).

The sheets have from 5 to 8 cm length and count from 5 to 7 elliptic leaflets at the doubly tight edges.
The simple flowers, of white or yellow color pale, a diameter from 2,5 to 4 cm in diameter, are solitary and give fruits brown dark or crimson dark, globulous, of 1 cm diameter.
