Rory Storm and The Hurricanes
Rory Storm and The Hurricanes is an old group of Rock of Liverpool, where Ringo Starr played before belonging to the Beatles. The group had its small reputation with Liverpool.
Its singer éponyme was going to know a fine tragedy: a double suicide near his/her mother in 1972.
History
The group is made up around the core Rory Storm (born Alan Caldwell) and Johnny Guitar (born Johnny Byrne). Initially, called the Raving Texans of 1957 to 1959, it will function like a quintet with a relatively stable structure until 1962.

Rory Storm : song
- Johnny Guitar: rhythmic guitar
- Ty Brian: guitar solo
- Lou Walters: low
- Ringo Starr: battery
It becomes one of the group most popular of Liverpool to beginning of the year 60, in particular because of the stage business of Rory Storm. In August 1962, Ringo Starr leaves Hurricanes which will lose their popularity gradually.
The group knew only little success for two reasons:
- Their little of spirit to play of new songs
- Their will not to move away too much from Liverpool
