Rork

Rork is a character and a series of Cartoon created by Andreas of which the first appearance goes back to 1978 in the review the Newspaper from Tintin.

Genesis of the series

Rork is a recurring character created by Andreas in 1978. The hero rather saw supernatural adventures and fantastic independent before the editor does not ask Andreas to make more long stories with a view to a later publication in album.
The short stories will be included in the first volume published in 1984 pennies the title of Fragments in the collection Histoires and legends of the editions Lombard.
The series ceases being prépubliée starting from the volume trois.
The short stories imagined first of all in manner independent all will be bound by the events of the albums suivants.
The series counts seven volumes and was completed in 1993 but Andreas work currently with a volume zero telling a history without any bond with the remainder of the series and occurring before the events from the other volumes.

The hero of the series meets, in the volume five, another important character called Capricorne which will live its own adventures in a series éponyme published in the collection the Third Vagueness of the editions Lombard as of 1997.
The events of the series Rork are intercalated between the volumes four and five of the series Capricorne and one finds some characters of the series mother who make some appearances there (Low Valley, Mordor Gott, Blue Face, the numerical cube…) but the two series remain very independent all the same.

Another character of the series, introduced into the second volume will be entitled to an independent album in 1989. It acts of the private detective called Raffington Event who will live several short stories and without any connection with the two other series caused.

In 2002 is appeared with the Netherlands eighth volumes taking again several illustrations on the topic of the characters of the series like two stories not taken again up to now in album: Forgotten the and the saver of the published cretaceous , for the first in Super Tintin in 1982 and in the Newspaper of Tintin in 1987 for the second.
