Roost-Warendin
Roost-Warendin (to pronounce " ro-goes-ran-din") is a common French, located in the department of the Northern (59) and the area Nord-Pas-de-Calais.
Geography
Roost-Warendin is located at 7 km of the downtown area of Douai (to the north-north-east) and at 42 km of the downtown area of Lille. The mining by-pass N455 passes to the South of its territory strap of exit n°22. The Scarpe below passes to the South-east of the territory the spoil heap of Escarpelle.
History
It is the meeting of 2 old communes: Roost (which come from the Picard reed) and Warendin (root IE related to water (toilets/wasser)).
