Roope Latvala
Roope Latvala is a guitarist of Finnish Metal, currently member of the groups Children off Bodom and Sinergy. It is famous to be one of the best musicians of heavy metal of its country.
Latvala was born the June 25th 1970 with Helsinki. At fifteen years, it founds the group Stone with his friend Janne Joutseniemmi, becoming thus one of the pioneers of metal in Finland. Until 1991, date of its separation, the group was a relative success in the country. Playing then in some groups or projects with short of lifespan (seldom more than one year), it joined finally Waltari in 1995, and played there during six years.
In 2001, the young person Alexi Laiho, guitarist virtuoso of Children off Bodom and proven admiror of Latvala (that he regards as a major influence), called upon him for his parallel project Sinergy (a joining together group of the stars of Scandinavian metal). Roope Latvala always occupies the post of guitarist in this group.
The most important change occurred in 2003: after the departure of Alexander Kuoppala, Latvala was integrated like second guitarist of Children off Bodom. The fans of this group of black-heavy-melody Finnish almost reserved all a positive reception with the new arrival.
Roope Latvala is considered by much, not only like one pioneer of the Finnish Metal, but also like one of the best guitarists of the country.
