Rooms-Adour belongs to the Community of agglomeration of the Grand Tarbes. Born from the Community of communes of the agglomeration tarbaise created in 1995, its competences touch with transport, the travelling entertainers, the culture, the sports, the environment, the university pole and the policy of the city.

it is a typical village of the area bigourdane with houses built out of rollers of Adour. The Church is dedicated to Saint Barthelemy who besides is the feastday of the village. The castle is consequently inhabited family since 6 generations, Carrère.
