Founded in France on January 3rd, 1924, the Chambres of agriculture are consular organizations charged to represent the whole of different the Economic agents from the Agriculture: Farmer, but also owners, employees, and agricultural organizations such as the Reciprocity S, Co-operative S, appropriations and trade unions with general vocation.

Rooms of Agriculture

It there has a Room of Agriculture by French Département in general, some covering several departments, that is to say 94 rooms on the whole.

At departmental level the rooms of agriculture play a crucial role of information and assistance to the farmers. They had Services of Agricultural Utility and Development (SUAD) and bodies of formations whose employees inform and form the Agriculteur S. Regional courts of Agriculture

There is a Regional court of Agriculture by French Région.

The Regional courts of Agriculture have a role of coordination and planning of the agricultural action at the regional level, of coordination and good performance of the Departmental Rooms between them, and of dialog with the District council. This last role gained besides in importance since the Décentralisation.

The Permanent Parliament of the Rooms of Agriculture

The Permanent Parliament of the Rooms of Agriculture (APCA) is the national level of the network of the Rooms of agriculture.

The APCA is associated member of the CIF (Conseil of French agriculture).

The majority union FNSEA thus leaves reinforced elections 2007, which also see the strong progression of the Rural Coordination and the clear fall of the Peasant confederation.
