Room Wilfrid-Furrier
The room Wilfrid-Furrier is a theater located on Western the Maisonneuve boulevard of Montreal; she belongs to the Place of Arts. Built in 1963, it was initially called the Big room before being famous in room Wilfrid-Furrier in homage to the famous leader Wilfrid Pelletier.
It is today the largest multipurpose scene in Canada. The room is equipped with two thousand and nine hundred eighty-two places, and its scene is equipped with the technical equipment most sophisticated.
It lends itself to the Opéra (music), with the spectacle of Danse, all the kinds of music of the symphonic music until the rock'n'roll, and with the musical comedies. Currently, the room Wilfrid-Furrier accommodates three company in residence: the Symphony orchestra of Montreal, Great Canadian Ballets and the Opera of Montreal.
