Roodepoort
Roodepoort is a Ville of the Province of the Gauteng in South Africa, located in the western suburbs of Johannesburg. It shelters celebrates it National Botanical garden of the Witwatersrand.
It owes its origin with discovered Or on its ground in 1884 by the brothers Fred and Harry Struben. It obtained the statute of Municipalité in 1904 and that of city ( city ) in 1977 by the incorporation of the localities of Hamberg, Florida and Maraisburg.
Following the administrative regrouping of the beginning of XXIe century, Roodepoort was integrated into the municipality of Johannesburg.
