Ronon Dex

Ronon Dex is a character of the universe of fiction of the Televised series Stargate Atlantis. It appears in the series during the second season, whereas it replaces in the team the lieutenant Ford after his escape of the city.

It was born on a planet that the wraiths destroyed. It took part in the defense of its native world and was made prisoner by the wraiths which tortured it. The waiths made it, thereafter, become a “runner”. A runner is a man to which the wraith S establish a beacon to track it before releasing and to make use of it as game for shooting parties.

The Doctor Beckett withdrew to him his beacon during an operation without Anesthésie. This act will convince Ronon to join the city of Atlantis.

Of a very silent nature, it is easily inclined with blind anger. The destruction of its world very marked it indeed, at least as much as the treason of the one of its superiors who flees loosely by sacrificing thousands of soldiers. Ronon does not have any compassion absolutely nor pity towards Wraiths, towards which it nourishes a visceral hatred in all circumstances. It spent several years of its life unprofitably to be tempted to escape to them, before meeting Sheppard and its team. All its life was placed under the aegis of the hatred of Wraiths and the study of the most effective manner to fight them. Ronon is indeed a warrior of weight, very equipped materially and psychologically with the combat. Very cold of nature, it can however be a gay dog, especially the day when it finds survivors of its world. Ronon has a method of combat well to him, and does not make any district with its enemies. He hates to be overcome and remains being wary even with regard to his friends, old reflex of survival. On its methods of combat it is very close to Tey'. It fights regularly with a gun drawing from the paralyzing discharges of energy or mortals, whom it seems to take pleasure to make crush as in the westerns, and it carries a saber permanently. Ronon also puts a point of honor to have a profusion of knives with him.

" it is always necessary to have two knives with oneself; one that the enemy can find, another which one can garder"

" Sheppard: you have how much knives on you? Ronon: it is necessary how much of it for you? "

" Sheppard (Ronon indicator to draw one énième knife from its hair): you must have problems with the airports, vous."
