Ronnie James Dio , of his true name Ronald James Padavona , is a Chanteur of heavy metal English.

Biography

It was born with Portsmouth the July 10th 1942. It begins its musical career within the group Elf where it starts by playing of the trumpet and of the low before turning to the Chant.

In 1974, Ronnie James Dio takes part in the album Butterfly Ball of Roger Glover (the bass player of Deep Purple) and records celebrates it song “Coils is All”.

When Ritchie Blackmore leaves Deep Purple, he discharges the members of Elf to found Rainbow.

Ronnie James records 4 albums with Rainbow before leaving the group and joining Black Sabbath.

It is very famous to have popularized the sign of the “horns” used by the fans of heavy metal. It is with Black Sabbath that it popularized this sign, which was in the beginning a gesture of spiritual protection against any malevolent character used by his Italian grandmother.

After having recorded two albums studio and live, it leaves Black Sabbath to form its group, Dio.

Since, separately an attempt at reformation with his/her colleagues of Black Sabbath, Dehumanizer in 1992, Ronnie James remains faithful to Dio and continuous to leave the albums regularly.

In 2007, Black Sabbath is reformed around Ronnie James Dio with the song and kind the album " The Dio Years". A round follows, under the name Heaven And Hell, of the name of the first album recorded by Black Sabbath with Dio. They leave the live CD/DVD: Live From Radio operator City Music Hall.
