Ronan Caouissin

Ronan Caouissin , alias Ronan Caerléon , (1914, Pleyber-Christ - March 12th 1986) is a Breton nationalist writer.

He is writer and editor, father of five children. He belongs to the troop theater of the Bleun-Brug goude gousperoù E brezhoneg ”. He is close to the Abbé Perrot, founder of the Bleun-Brug. In 1938, it undergoes two months of prison for graffiti on public edifice.

In 1939, it marries Jorda Renault, a young nurse met with the forgiveness of Koat Kéo. It deals with the editions and the newspaper Ololé for youth, with his brother Herry Caouissin. With the Release, exiled in Paris region, it carries out various trades. It launches out, with his brother Herri Caouissin, in the creation of a Breton cinema: Brittia-films. It creates with the Drennec, a “workshop Celtic” where it practices ceramics, with the Breton and Celtic topics. Writer, his polemical works - the “committed” qualifier would be more suitable - on “the Breton cause” will be the object of many polemics. That with Goulc' han Kervella, the director of the group theatrical “Ar Vro Bagan”, on the “theatrical” way to present the role of the Abbot Perrot, at one moment when the health of Ronan Caouissin was failing, was to involve it in a coma then with death, the March 12th 1986.
