Ronaldsway
The Ronaldsway ( Rognaldswath in norrois, “ford of Reginald” or “Ragnald”) is an area of the south of the island of Man located near the localities of Ballasalla and Castletown, and through which the Silverburn runs.
Description
The site is currently partly occupied by the Aéroport of Ronaldsway but it is also known to have been the theater of the Bataille of Ronaldsway which was held in 1275. At the conclusion of this one, the sovereignty of the island of Man passes from the Viking S to the Écossais.The area shelters one of the twelve weather stations coastal being used to work out the maritime bulletins of weather forecasting of the BBC.
Ronaldsway is crossed by the Railroad of the island of Man and a request was deposited in order to create a stop on the level of the industrial park of Silverburn.
