Ronald Pognon
Ronald Pognon (born the November 16th 1982 with the Lamentin in Martinique) is an athlete French.
It is the first French of the history to have run the 100 meters under the ten seconds, reaching the 9" 99 and gaining the test at the time of the athletics meeting of Lausanne of the July 5th 2005. It becomes the 46e athlete in the world to be passed under the ten seconds.
It measures 1,82 m for 71 kg and specialized with the sprint for the distances from 60 m, 100 m and 200 m.
Biography
In the beginning player of Football, Ronald Pognon starts to practice the Athlétisme with the college at 14 years while testing himself with the Race on foot with the medium-distance race, then with the hedges. It is at the time of the Olympic Games of Atlanta of 1996 that it finds its way, the sprint, when it follows the course of the competition on television. He becomes champion of Europe juniors on the distance from 200 m in 2001, then champion of Europe hopes in July 2003 on 100 m. He takes part in the Olympic Games of Athens of 2004.At the time of the Championships of the world of athletics 2005, it fails its qualification for the finale of the 100 meters but on August 13rd, 2005, he becomes world champion of the 4x100 m with his fellow-members of the team of France of which Ladji Doucouré.
