Romainmôtier-Envy

Romainmôtier-Envy is a common Suisse of the Canton of Vaud, located in the District of Sphere, and resulting from the fusion of the old communes of Romainmôtier and Envy.

These weapons were those of the monastery clunisien of Romainmôtier as from the 14th century. The key and the sword, emblems of holy Pierre and holy Paul, owners of the church of Romainmôtier, were usually used by the monasteries depending on Cluny. These weapons were adopted by the city at the 16th century.
