Romain Dumas

Romain Dumas (born the December 14th 1977 with Ales, Gard -) is a racing driver French.

Biography

Romain Dumas discovers the automobile Compétition by the means of the Karting in 1992.

In 1996, it discovers the single-seater by disputing the championship of France of Formule Renault, then in 1998, that of Formule 3.

In 1999, it is invited to carry out tests for the stable of Formule 3000 Oreca, then fine 2002 for that of Formule 1 Renault. In 2004, it tests a single-seater of the Conquest Racing in Champ Because, but it run forever in one of these three disciplines.

In 2001 and 2002, it disputes the championship Euro Formulates 3000.

Since 2001 it took part in each edition of the 24 hours of Mans and since 2004, it disputes the championship American Mans Series.

In 2007, it gains the 24 hours of Nürburgring and, with Emmanuel Collard and Jean-Christophe Boullion, finishes third of the 24 hours of Mans at the wheel of the Pescarolo n° 16. Then, with the autumn, Romain very often gains championship ALMS in the USA in LMP2 after having triumphed at the wheel over Porsche spyder over the TEAM over Roger Penske, offering even the luxury to beat several times the Audi R10.
