The Rollersoccer (or Roller soccer) is a hybrid sport which consists in playing football on rollers. It puts in scene impassioned sliding sport (in particular the Roller) and of Football.

With convivial rules and without ruinous equipment, Rollersoccer is practiced without violence and makes it possible to discover the feelings of a Sliding sport, to acquire the tactical direction of a collective Sport and to develop specific driving skills.

In France, the term Rollerfootball is at present a Registered trademark and protected. With international, Rollersoccer and Rollerfootball are the same thing.

History

This sport was born in the Années 1990 with San Francisco with the the United States, creates by Zack Philips.

1995: Birth in the United States

All started with San Francisco on December 17th 1995. Zack Philips was making roller in the park of the Golden Spoils when a balloon of foot came on its way. Zack then started to play with the balloon. It had certain experience of a play called “ kick the cone ” (to strike a pine cone or pine cone) and realized that it was better to use a balloon than a pine cone. It then presented football on rollers to his friends.

Two weeks later, Zack and some of his/her friends made the first match of rollersoccer while exploiting part of the street " John F. Kennedy Drive" in the park of Golden delicious Spoils. The match grows bigger to become a a little chaotic match, with 23 enough enthusiastic men and women to run after a balloon and to try to mark goals. Rollersoccer had been born.

1999: First contacts with France

In 1999, at the time of the excursion organized with the the United States by association Planet Roller, of the contacts are established between Claire Léonard, the president, and several associations of roller in San Francisco (of which Zack Philips).

2001: First football club on roller

January 2001, from the Norman Caen be born, under the impulse of Debeaupte Handbook, decided to meet in association and to create the first football club in roller in France (Caen Rollersoccer Association).

2003: Will to develop the sport in Europe

2001- 2003, several young Europeans (German S, French…) in training course in the area of San Francisco take part regularly in the Randonnée in roller of Friday evening in San Francisco. It is there that they make the meeting of Zack Philips and other personalities of Roller Soccer. They take little by little taste with the play and regularly practice this sport during their stay. On their return in Europe, some of them return with the idea to develop this sport in their country, which will give in particular Rollersoccer Germany and Rollersoccer France.

Years 2004-2005: Development in France

The arrival of Zack Philips in France running 2004 is the occasion to gather all his/her friends and contacts in France eager to develop Rollersoccer in France. From there was born the movement Rollersoccer France, whose objective is to develop and coordinate the initiatives of Rollersoccer in France (associative sector of the roller, association of Caen, individuals). With the excellent results of the world cup 2006, France should know its first national championship during the year 2007.

2007: Paris accommodates the World cup of Rollersoccer

From August 24th to 26th, Paris accommodates the World cup of Rollersoccer.

International competitions

Since 2003 the world cup of Rollersoccer under the name of RSWC (" takes place; Roller Soccer World Cup"). France takes part in this cut for the first time in 2005 at the same time as the Norway. World cup 2006 proceeded with Nuremberg, where France was represented by the teams of Paris and Marseilles. After having dominated the competition during the two days, the two teams found themselves finally with a victory of the team of Paris, in extremis in the prolongations. Moreover Paris should organize the next world cup of Roller Soccer in 2007.
