Roland Hake

Roland Hake , born in 1928, is an anthropologist, economist, writer and associate manager.

An anthropologist engaged in the political action

Roland Colin was born in 1928, in Brittany. He enters to the National school of France of Overseas in 1948, where he has Léopold-Sédar Senghor for professor. Graduate of the School of the Eastern languages, he is initially administrator with the French Sudan (current Mali), until in 1954.

He directs the cabinet of Mamadou Dia, president of the council of the Fédération of Mali (which gathers Senegal and Sudan), at the time of the independence of the Senegal (1961) until the rupture of this last with president Senghor.

Returned to France, Roland Colin teaches at the School of the High studies in Social sciences, then at the Universities of Paris VIII (Vincennes) and of Paris III (new Sorbonne), and with the national Foundation of Political sciences.

In its works, and in particular in Senegal, our dugout (2007), he insists on the necessary one and difficult conciliation between the participative democracy and the representative democracy which was, for him, the essential object of the debate between Léopold-Sédar Senghor and Mamadou Dia at the time of the crisis which followed independences of the old colonies Frenchwoman of Africa.

Successor of L. - J. Lebret

In 1964, it codirige the Research institute and applications of the methods of development (IRAM), founded by Louis-Joseph Lebret and the Abbot Pierre.

With died of L. - J. Lebret, in 1966, Roland Colin becomes president of the International institute of research and formation education and development (IRFED), while Vincent Cosmao takes the direction of it. The institute reorganizes in three sectors: seek, formation and intervention. The IRFED and the Center L. - J. Lebret amalgamate in 2004 to create the “International Center Development and Civilizations - Lebret-Irfed”. Roland Colin becomes honorary president of the new entity.

May 18th 1976, on the initiative of Roland Hake, 8 French governmental organizations create the Research center and of information for the development (CRID), of which the IRAM, the IRFED, CCFD, CIMADE, the co-operative Collège, Frères of the Men and OICS Medicus Mundi.
