Rogues de Hangest

Rogues , lord of Hangest and D' Avesnecourt, Marshal of France.

He took share with the war against the English in 1337.

He accompanied Philippe VI by Valois to the seat of Tournai in 1340. He was with the camp of Bouvines close to Tournai, when Edouard III, king d' Angleterre, caused Philippe VI in singular combat.

He accepted the load of Pannetier of the king in 1344 and the dignity of Marshal of France in 1352.

He died the same year.
