Roger of Damas
Roger, count de Damas , brother of Joseph-François-Louis-Charles of Damas d' Antigny, born in 1765, died in 1823.
It entered strong young person as officer the Régiment of the King, passed in Russia and was distinguished in the war against the Turks (1787). During the French revolution, it was aide-de-camp of the count d' Artois, then ordered the Mirabeau legion in the Armée with Condé (1794 - 1798). It served then the king de Naples against the republican troops: its retirement in Calabria was admired by the French whom it fought. In 1814, it returned in France with the Bourbons, and was named general Lieutenant. He was elected Député in 1815.
