Roger Léveillé
Born with Winnipeg in 1945, Roger Léveillé makes his traditional studies with the university Collège of Saint-Boniface before undertaking his academic works; initially at the University of the Manitoba, McGill and at the University of Paris and a report of control supplements on Alain Robbe-Grillet. In 1968, it publishes Tombeau on the presses of Canadian Publishers which his/her uncle Brunelle Léveillé manages. Since 1970 it goes to Ottawa and writes its second novel, Disparate the , published under the pseudonym of Jesse Janes in 1975. In 1978, in Suzanne company, girl of the poet Louis-Philippe Corbeil whom he married, Léveillé attends the mediums in vogue of the New Age and lives during two years in a center esoteric of Laurentides. It is at that time that it translates “more than ten books on metaphysics, the esotericism, parapsychology and the old story” according to the biographical note published in the Book of the margins (1981). Of return to Manitoba in 1980, it is made engage by Radio-Canada as journalist, there even where work his/her maternal uncle Denis Bélair has.
Member of the board of directors of the Editions of Corn and director of the “Red” collection, Roger Léveillé continues a demanding work in search of a textual pleasure which prefers to move away from readable ( incomparable the , 1984) to the profit from an esthetic and sensual happiness of the text.
