Roger Karoutchi

Roger Karoutchi is a Politician French, born with Casablanca the August 26th 1951.

It is, since the May 18th 2007, Secretary of State in charge of the Relations with the Parliament near the Prime Minister for the government Francois Fillon 1 (renewed in the government Francois Fillon 2 on June 19th, 2007).

Origins and formation

Roger Karoutchi, wire of Halter Karoutchi and Solange Fedida, is resulting from a family Jewish Morrocan woman originating in Essaouira (Mogador), made at the Morocco coming from Leghorn (Italy) at the 18th century. Part of the Karoutchi family emigrated in Israel, where Mike Karoutchi is a singer of Moroccan song very known, which is called the king of Henné ( Melekh HaH' ina in Hebrew).

Holder of a control of right and former student of the Institute of political studies of Paris and Institute of political studies of Aix-en-Provence, he is qualified schoolteacher of history, then, as from 1997, general inspector of State education.

Career

Qualified schoolteacher of history in Goussainville and Paris (1975-1985), Roger Karoutchi launches out in policy, as of the 16 years age, while adhering to the party gaullist. National delegate of the RPR, in charge of the youth of 1981 to 1985, it second, in 1981, Nicolas Sarkozy, then president of the support group of the young people to the candidature of Jacques Chirac for the presidential election, before becoming operations manager near the general secretary of the RPR (1985-1986).

Member of the cabinet of president Séguin to the National Assembly of 1993 to 1997, appointed European of 1997 to 1999, senator of the Hauts-de-Seine of 1999 to 2007, today Secretary of State in charge of the relations with the Parliament, it is an excellent expert of the parliamentary wheels.
