Roger Guillemin

Roger Guillemin , born the January 11th 1924 with Dijon in France, is a Endocrinologue of French origin naturalized American in 1965. It receives the Nobel Prize in 1977.

Biography

Roger Guillemin makes his studies of sciences with Université of Burgundy and medicine with Lyon, before leaving for Canada, with the Université of Montreal then for the United States with the Baylor College. He becomes Nobel Prize in 1977 (with Andrew V. Schally and Rosalyn Yalow) for their discoveries of the Neurohormone S, in particular the identification of TRH and the GnRH and his role in the release of FSH and LH.
