Roger Gicquel , born the February 22nd 1933 with Glénac (Morbihan), is a Journaliste and presenter of Télévision French. Returned to Brittany after its career of presenter, he writes books where its passion for this area shows through.

Career

Presenter high-speed motorboat of the tv news of TF1 of 1975 with 1980, Roger Gicquel initially practiced journalism with the Parisian released , in Normandy, during seven years. After the JT, Roger Gicquel several stations on TF1 before leaving the chain in 1986 occupies, at the time of its Privatization. Anecdotes

• For much, Roger Gicquel evokes a presenter melancholic person announcing the news with an infinite sadness, even if the man proves much more smiling in the private one - Coluche joked by saying that when a plane is crushed in the world, it is on the shoes of Gicquel.
• One owes him the famous sentence of introduction of the JT “France is afraid…” pronounced at the time of the murder of the small Philippe Bertrand by Patrick Henry in 1976. This sentence was often included/understood, wrongly, like a support for the capital punishment, France having " peur" assassins of children. It was in fact all the opposite, Roger Gicquel explaining makes of it that " it is when a country has peur" that one can make him swallow anything, and that it was necessary to be wary of the political decisions made with the favor of the popular emotion.
