Roger François

Roger François (born the October 9th 1900 with Romans-sur-Isère in the Drome - died the February 16th 1949) was a haltérophile French, which was Olympic champion in this discipline, in the category of the average weight at the time of the Jeux of IX {{E}} Olympiade with Amsterdam, with the Netherlands in 1928.

This year, one gave up name “weight and haltères” for that of “haltérophilie”.

A gymnasium bears its name to Romans.
