Roger Fauroux

Roger Fauroux (born the November 21st 1926 with Montpellier -), wire of headmaster and grandson of porkbutcher, climbs all the stages of the republican rise to become president of a Multinationale and Ministre of the Republic.

Originating in the Ariège, it integrates the National university after a preparation into the Lycée Henri-Iv. After a training course in Germany in 1948, it obtains the aggregation of German. It passes then the National school of administration, to leave there to the Tax inspectorate.

After a passage to the Ministry for finances (1956 - 1960), it integrates the Pont-à-Mousson company, then becomes director then general president-director of the Group Saint-Gobain (1961 - 1986). Named directing of the National school of administration (1986 - 1988), it leaves this station to become foreign trade, Minister of Industry and town and country planning (1988 - 1991) in the government of Michel Rocard. He is also mayor of Saint-Bosoms, in the Ariège (1989 - 1995).

He devotes then his time to his mandates of administrator of company and to the drafting of various reports/ratios ordered by the political authorities: For the School (July 1996) and the fight against ethnic discriminations in the field of application (September 2005).
