Roger Béteille
, born with Vors (Aveyron) on August 28th, 1921, is an aeronautical engineer, called Mr Airbus as an initiator of the program of the plane of the same name.
Biography
is graduate Polytechnic school, 3Ecole Nationale Sup3erieure of aeronautics and space (Sup' Aéro) and Center of the high studies of the armament (CHEAr).
In 1945 it obtains its license of pilot.
In 1952, it enters to SNCASE to Toulouse where he becomes director of in-flight tests and will play an important role in the programs Armagnac and Caravelle.
March 1st, 1957, the SNCASE becomes South-Aviation. is named director of the division of the missiles and satellites and engineer-in-chief of the technical Groupe of Cannes.
In 1970, South-Aviation becomes aerospatiale. sets out again for Toulouse as an associated chief technical officer, then directing of the program Airbus A300.
of the founding fathers of the European consortium Airbus is one, with Henri Ziegler and Felix Kracht, and the salesman near the European companies Air France and Lufthansa, and of the American companies, such as United Airlines, TWA and American Airlines.
It takes its retirement in 1984.
