Roerdalen
Roerdalen is a commune of the Netherlands of the province of the Limbourg.
The common one was created on January 1st 1991 by the fusion of the old communes of Melick in Herkenbosch and Vlodorp. Initially, the new commune thus formed preserved the name of Melick in Herkenbosch . The name Roerdalen was adopted definitively in 1993.
January 1st 2007, Roerdalen amalgamated with the commune of Ambt Montfort. The municipal council again did not propose yet name for this new commune. While waiting, the name of Roerdalen is preserved.
The commune is crossed by the Roer.
