Rodong Sinmun
The daily newspaper Rodong Sinmun ( Newspaper of the Workers ) is the official body of the Parti the work of Korea, with the capacity in democratic Popular republic of Korea. It is published by Rodong News Agency, and is the daily newspaper more read in the country. During its first publication, on November 1st 1945, the newspaper was published under the name Chongro ( Right Path ), being used as means of communication for the Office North-Korean of the Communist party of Korea. It took its current name in September 1946, when the Party of the Work of Korea gathered the Korean Communists of the north and the south of the peninsula. Frequently quoted by the Central Korean News Agency (KCNA) and the international mediums, it is looked like an information source and official positions of the government North-Korean on many subjects.

Generally containing six pages, information is thus classified in a standard number of Rodong Sinmun:- on first page, in addition to the leading article, the one often gives an account of the actions of the leader North-Korean Kim Jong-il,
- the second page develops theoretical articles on Communism,
- the third page stresses the interior policy, in particular the economic questions,
- the three last pages present new main roads and especially international, including on South Korea, by frequently adopting a critical tone with regard to the United States and of Japan.
The leading article, in which the Party expresses its sights on various subjects, and the articles of the second page, are generally looked like the most important information. Thus, on January 1st 2006, a special leading article required " a national campaign for the withdrawal of the American troops of South Korea " and it was referred several to the Réunification of Korea, while the stress was also laid on the rise in the standard of living.
The daily life, television, the radio and the leisures occupy a less place in the columns of the newspaper.

Diffusion
Rodong Sinmun is diffused in the schools, the firm co-operatives and the other work places, where it is posted publicly.
In connection with the name
It should be noted that the South-Koreans spell the name Rodong Shinmun, this due to the Romanisation revised of Korean who changes “so” into “shi”. However, its official name in Europe east that used by the North Korea and international mediums. The name Rodong Sinmun is based on the pronunciation North-Korean. Into South Korean, it becomes Nodong Sinmun.
