Rodolphe Ier of the Holy roman Empire

Born in 1218, probably with the castle of Limburg (country of Bade). Deceased with Spire in 1291.
Il was king of the Romans of 1273 with his death. He is the son of Albert IV (- 1240) count de Habsbourg and of Heilwige de Kybourg (- 1260). During its reign, it increases its grounds with the Austria, the Styrie and the Carniole with the detriment of Ottokar II of Bohemia. It is thanks to Rodolphe Ier that the Habsbourg could found their power.

He marries in first weddings in 1245 Gertrude de Hohenberg (1225-1281). He marries in second weddings in 1284 Agnès of Burgundy (1270-1323), and of his first wife he had eleven children, among whom:

  • Albert I {{er}} of Habsbourg (1248-1308), king of the Romans (German emperor not crowned)

  • Mathilde de Habsbourg (1251-1304), married in 1273 with Louis II of Bavaria (1229-1294), duke of Bavaria
  • Hedwige de Habsbourg (- 1303), married in 1279 with Othon IV (- 1303), margrave de Brandebourg
  • Agnes de Habsbourg (- 1322), married in 1273 with Albert II (- 1298), duke of Saxony
  • Jutte de Habsbourg (1271-1297), married in 1285 with Venceslas II (1271-1305), king de Bohême
