Rodney Mullen

Johnny Rodney Mullen was born the August 17th 1966 with Gainesville, in Florida. It is a Skateboard professional er. It began at the 10 years age. He is largely regarded today by a good number as the most influential skator of the history of the discipline.

He invented a number impressing of Trick S. He is regarded as the father of the modern Street. One allots the invention to him, in the Années 1980, of the majority of the current flips (in particular that of the Kickflip and the Heelflip). If he did not invent the Ollie (allotted to Alan Gelfand), he nevertheless adapted it in flat (on a flat ground), thus revolutionizing everyone of the Skateboard. He also invented the darkslide , which consists with slider of Boardslide but the Skate with back. So the grip undergone important deteriorations: the underflip , which draws its name from the way in which the board turns; the skater turns over it in the air, poses its feet in lower part, then makes him make a flip. One owes him also the figures of flat, the such casper , the casper to 3-6 flip , the truckstand , the firstly . The casper is a figure where the skate is turned over on the ground, wheels in the air. The skator poses the foot on the tail of the skate, and the foot front under the board, the whole holding in balance. The casper to 360 flip is a casper, but to set out again in flat (thus in normal position), the skator does one 360 flip. The truckstand is like the casper, but the back foot is on the back truck. The firstly consists in putting the skate on the section, and remaining above, on the other section. These figures are difficult to control, but the game is worth the candle. A sequence of flat well control is splendid.

One sees it appearing in very many vidéos (see hereafter). It is also well represented in the various episodes of the video games Tony Hawk' S Pro Skater, Tony Hawk' S Underground and Tony Hawk' S American Wasteland.
