Rodion Chtchedrine

Rodion Konstantinovitch Chtchedrine (in; ), born the December 16th 1932 with Moscow, is a Russian Compositeur . He is the president of the Union of the Russian type-setters since 1973.

Biography

He studied the music with the Conservatoire of Moscow under the direction of Yuri Shaporin and Nikolaï Miaskovski. Since 1958, he is married with large the Russian ballerina Maïa Plissetskaïa.

Among its compositions the Ballet S The Little Hump-backed Horse (1955) appear, Carmen (1967 (based on the opera Carmen of Georges Bizet), Anna Karénine (according to the novel éponyme of Leon Tolstoï), and Lady with has Lapdog (1985); the operas Not Only Coils (1961), and Dead Souls (1976); as well as many concertos for piano, Symphony S, chamber musics…
