Rococo frederician

The rococo frederician ( Friderizianisches Rokoko in German) is an architectural form of Rococo which developed in Prussia during the reign of Frederic Large the. The style combines influence come at the same time from France and Netherlands.

The most famous representative of the rococo frederician was Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff. This last, moreover, was influenced by the painter Antoine Pesne and even by the proper tastes of the king. Among the buildings the most known fredericians, one counts the Palais of Sanssouci, the Château of town of Potsdam and some sections of the Château of Charlottenburg.
