Rocky Volcano is a singer of French Rock.

Biography

Rocky Volcano (of its true name Jean Nicolas) was born on December 9th, 1935, close to the Old man-Port with Marseilles, launched at the beginning of the the Sixties. It started to be made known with a very personal version of 24 thousand kisses , success original of Adriano Celentano. In addition to this song, its first 45T, published in 1961 at Philips, also included/understood: I will go anywhere , Nobody like you and his song-fetish: Like a volcano .

On the whole 4 Super 45 turns and one 33 turns 25 cm including/understanding 10 of its best successes.

Rocky Volcano wanted, at the beginning, to become professional boxer. It had already begun a career amateur besides. The legend supports that he became singer after a meeting with the American boxer Ray Sugar Robinson, which would have advised this change of course to him.

After some discs, Rocky Volcano started to be less present on the waves. It seems well that Philips, which had just discharged at Vogue Johnny Hallyday, preferred to concentrate its efforts on its new wonder.

From 1962, Rocky Volcano signs some contracts abroad and begins a prolific career in Spain, where it is recruited by the Belter discs, where it recorded 4 Super 45 turns.

Today, Rocky Volcano is film producer in pornographic matter (see " The newspaper of the hard" of Channel + gone back to April 2007.)
